Effectiveness of video assisted teaching programme on knowledge regarding healthy lifestyle practices among school children Dhanalakshmi R. Professor, VHS-M.A. Chidambaram College of Nursing, Chennai Online published on 27 October, 2023. Abstract A good healthy habit is an integral part of daily life of an individual. The present study assessed the effectiveness of video assisted teaching program on knowledge regarding healthy lifestyle practice among 30 school children. Quantitative research approach with pre experimental one group pretest and posttest design was used. Pretest knowledge on healthy lifestyle practices was assessed using structured questionnaire. In pretest the overall mean knowledge score was 16.93 with SD of 1.909 and in the post test, the overall mean knowledge score was 20.03 with SD of 1.847. The mean difference was 3.1 which was statistically significant at 0.05 level. Video assisted teaching was effective in improving the knowledge on healthy practices among school children.
