Abstract

Pain is a major discomfort which drives post Caesarean section mothers to seek help.

Aim

To assess the effectiveness of multimodal ministration of nursing care on pain among post caesarean mothers.

Method

Quasi experimental time series design, using convenience sampling technique, 30 samples were assigned for experimental and 30 for control group. Data was collected on lower segment caesarean section pain by using numerical pain rating scale.

Findings

In post test in the experimental group, mean caesarean pain score was 2.23 whereas in the control group it was 5.90., (p<0.001).

Conclusion

Midwives practice of complementary therapy is important to provide a platform for independent midwifery practitioners.
