Therapeutic massage in reducing pain among older people during intravenous cannulation Saranya Asst. Prof, Dr.kumaraswami Health Center College Of Nursing, Kottaram Online published on 29 August, 2017. Abstract A pre-experimental posttest only design was conducted to assess the level of pain in older people during intravenous cannulation using Universal Pain assessment scales. Therapeutic massage was found to be effective in reducing pain during intravenous cannulation among older people. The intervention has no side effects and it improves client satisfaction.
