Emotional Response and Coping Strategies among Staff Nurses who Worked during Covid - 19 Outbreaks Shalini Baby Associate Professor, Sardar Rajas College of Nursing, Kavalkinaru. Abstract Corona viruses are a large family of viruses that are known to cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such us middle East Respiratory syndrome (MERS) And severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).This study had assess the emotional response and coping strategies among staff nurses who are worked in covid-19 outbreak using Descriptive design. The study sample consist of 50 staff nurses, selected using purposive sampling technique. Brief COPE scale is used measuring coping strategies. The mean score score is (57.2) and correlation is (0.44) hence there is a moderately positive co-relation between the emotional response and coping and strategies among staff nurses.
