Weed managent in soybean

Abstract

An experiment was conducted during Kharif 1997 and 1998 at the Regional Acdculture Research Station, Bharari, Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh). The grain yield recorded wad significantly higher (17.1Sq/ha) in two hand weedings (20 & 40 DAS) with 63.07 per cent weed control efficiency. Incase of weedlc1de the pre-emergence application of alachore 4.0 litre per hectare and pre sowing applicatlon of fluchloralin 1.65 letre per hectare, showed 28.86 and 30.27% WCE, respectively. Amona weecllclde, application of flucbloralin exhibited higher grain yield than alachlor, but It was found significantly superior.
