Abstract

The research work was carried out at the field of crop cafeteria, Faculty of Agriculture Sciences, Bhagwant University, Ajmer during rabi season 2018 and 2019.The verities of okra ‘Arka Anamika’ were sown in 18 m2 plot to conduct a field trial on population dynamics of the shoot and fruit borer the infestation of okra shoot and fruit borer was started in the 10th SMW with an average larval population of 0.4 larvae/ plant and during last picking 21 SMW it was 3.9 larvae/ plant. Peak incidence was noticed 5.1 larvae/ plant during 19thSMW in 2018 and 5.3larvae/ plant in 2019.during rabi season, E. vittella had significant positive association with minimum temperature (r=0.878**) whereas maximum temperature (r =0.941**), rainfall (r =0.0) and evening relative humidity (r = -0.932) had non-significant negative population.
