Abstract

The Ageing of population is a worldwide phenomenon irrespective of the levels of development. However, quality of living varies from place to place. A study on the living conditions of the elderly population in the selected slums of Kolkata has been undertaken to depict the spatial variation among the selected slums. While living condition is somewhat better in older slums, it is worse in newer ones.
