Online published on 24 February, 2020. Abstract Abuse of individual especially sexual abuse is a grey blot on the face of any civilized society. However, the person passes through such shameful incidences faces a lot of social and psychological turmoil in remaining period of life. Plethora of literature available in this area suggest that the person faced sexual abuse had shown great emotional problems in the area adjustment, coping and over all general health. The present study is planned to study the level of difference between sexually abused young male and female young adults for Emotional Maturity, General Health and Loneliness, a total sample of 100 sexually abused participants (50 male and 50 female) were approached, age ranging between 18 to 22 years, for the study. Purposive sampling was applied for the collection of data. Sexually Young male adults had significantly rated higher on the dimension of Social Maladjustment and Lack of Independence in comparison to young female adults. On Emotional Maturity Full Scale, female young adults were found significantly higher in comparison to male. Furthermore, Young female adults were significantly higher on the dimension of Anxiety/Insomnia, Severe Depression and General Health full scale in comparison to sexually abused young male adults. And last but not least, Young male adults were found lonelier in comparison to young female adults. Sexual Abuse for boys appears to be common, under recognized, underreported, and undertreated. Future study requires more rigorous data collection, and better assessment of management and treatment strategies. Regardless Psychologist and Health care professionals should be more aware of and sensitive to the possibility of sexual abuse in their male patients as well as female patients.
