Effect of Feeding Ground Spent Coffee on the Growth and Carcass Quality of Pigs Sikka S.S., Chawla J.S., Ichhponani J.S. Department of Animal Science, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana-141004, India Online published on 21 January, 2012. Abstract Comparative studies were conducted in randomised block design to see the effect of different levels (0, 5, 10 and 20%) of the ground spent coffee (SCG) in isonitrogenous rations on the growth of 16” weaned Large White Yorkshire piglets. The average daily feed intake and gain in weights were affected significantly (P<0.01) at 20% SCG, aiong with poor efficiency of feed utilization. The average back fat thickness was significantly less (P<0.01) in 20% SCG group than the other groups. Top | |
