Description: The International Council on Large Electric Systems known as CIGRE is a permanent non-government, non-profit International Association. The objective of the association is to develop technical knowledge and exchange information between all countries regarding generation and transmission of high voltage electricity. For the last 3 decades CBIP has been acting as the Indian National Committee for CIGRE. The association brings out a half yearly journal on the developments of power sector particularly in the field of Transmission & Generation. The journal contains details about the activities of the association, technical articles, data and is circulated to its members within the country. The journal serves an excellent purpose of disseminating the technological, innovative developments etc. amongst the concerned organisations of the energy sectors, which are taking place at the national and international level.
