Abstract Ameloblastoma is the second most common true neoplasm of odontogenic epithelial origin and is the most common aggressive benign tumor of the jaw. Unicystic ameloblastoma, a rare variant of ameloblastoma, refers to those cystic lesions that show clinical and radiographic characteristics of an odontogenic cyst, but on histologic examination shows a typical ameloblastomatous epithelial lining, with or without luminal and/or mural tumor growth. It accounts for about 6% of ameloblastomas. This article report an unusual case of unicystic ameloblastoma - plexiform type in the mandibular anterior region of a 22 year old female with review of literature.
