Ozone due to its antibacterial and antiviral action is used in the field of general medicine and dentistry. There are various industrial applications of ozone owing to its antioxidant property. This review of literature is an attempt to summarize the different modalities of ozone applications; especially in dentistry, highlighting its advantages, disadvantages, indications and contraindications.
