22. NOXStar Rises in the South Morris Keith, Affelt Scott (Journal, Modern Power Systems, November 2003, pp. 17–18). Abstract The first commercial installation of NOXStar (formerly known as SACR) emissions reduction technology is due to take place shortly at TVA's Colbert 4 plant in Alabama. Not as expensive as SCR but much more effective than SNCR, the NOXStar process involves injection of ammonia-based reagent with small amounts of hydrocarbon into the boiler superheater/reheater pass to autocatalyse post combustion flue gas. Top Keywords SACR, SNCR, Ammonia, Reagent, Superheater, Reheater, Autocatalyse. Top | |
