A new energy paradigm for the third millennium

Abstract

Economic and environmental conditions require us to seek global, long-term energy security based on renewable, non-polluting sources and technologies. The era of fossil-fuels is gradually drawing to an end. Some Russian scientists have formed the association ‘Energy of the Future’ to map out the situation and chart alternatives available to mankind for building a civilisation focusing on spiritual and cultural creativity rather than on wanton material consumption.
