Abstract Health is a constantly changing concept that varies across different regions and time periods. Regular health assessments are necessary to reduce and mitigate the effects of diseases. The Buxa tribe of Uttar Pradesh has unique traditional healing practices to minimize the impact of diseases on their community. Present study aims to investigate the health status of the Buxa tribe and determine whether traditional and modern medicine practices are sufficient for eradicating diseases or if additional supplements are needed for better health outcomes. The findings revealed that the prevalence of diseases among children, women, and adults, and assessed the health of the Buxa people using BMI and morbidity patterns. Overall, this paper presents a comprehensive overview of the health assessment of 125 Buxa people in the Bagnala village of the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh.
