Effectiveness of reflex zone therapy on lactation Among Primi para mothers Anto V. Sabitha Professor, Sardar Rajas College of Nursing Online published on 26 October, 2023. Abstract Breast feeding is a natural human activity. The World Health Organization recommended exclusive breast feeding for at first six months of life. The present study had assessed the effectiveness of reflex zone therapy on lactation among primi para mothers in a selected setting. True experimental pre testpost test design was used. Thirty primi para mothers were selected by using simple randomized sampling method. The pre test was done by using the LATCH assessment tool. Reflex zone therapy was administered to the mothers by the investigator for 20 minutes. A post test was conducted by using the same tool to find the effect of reflex zone therapy on lactation. The total mean score on lactation of the experimental group was 13.8 and in the control group it was 6.7 in the post-test at p<0.05 which showed that reflex zone therapy was highly effective in enhancing lactation.
