The phytochemicals found in various parts of pansy are found to have pharmacological properties such as anti-microbial, anti-carcinogenic, antioxidant, cardio protective, hypertensive, as an immunosuppressive drug, also used against chronic asthma, common cold and especially pansy is one of the important medicinal plants used in homeopathic medicine system to treat Crusta lactea.
