Abstract The main aim of this study was to show the impact of Preksha Meditation for adjustment problems in elderly women. For this a purposive sample of 60 elderly women was taken from anuvibha Kendra, vridhha ashram and old age homes of Jaipur city. The adjustment level was measured using Old-Age Adjustment Inventory (Shashad Hussain and Jasbir Kaur, 2005) which has 6 sub dimensions which measures health, home, social, marital, emotional and financial adjustment. Study was divided into pre-intervention, intervention and post intervention phase. Subjects were put through preksha meditation intervention for 45 minutes per day for four months. In post intervention they were measured again on the same test. ‘T ’test was used to compare the means of both groups. Results show that there is a significant difference in the levels of adjustment on all sub dimensions of elderly women post preksha meditation.
