Abstract An investigation was carried out on the “Effect of coloured shade net and organic foliar sprays on the growth and yield of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis) under low tunnel structure” at College of Agricultural Engineering, UAS, Raichur (Karnataka). The experiment consisted of three main treatment (S1-white coloured shade net, S2- green coloured shade net, S3- open condition) and five sub treatment (F1- Humic acid @ 3 g l-1, F2- Panchagavya @ 3%, F3-seaweed extract @ 2 ml l-1, F4- Vermiwash @ 10 ml l-1, F5- water) with three replications. The treatment white coloured shade net along with foliar spray of seaweed extract @ 2 ml l-1 showed significantly higher plant height (57.74 cm), number of leaves per plant (34.33), leaf area (11625.20 cm2), leaf area index (5.74), chlorophyll content (67.69), dry matter content (176.57 g plant-1) and yield per hectare (23.93 t). The treatment combination of open condition with water spray resulted in lowest in growth and yield. Top Keywords Cauliflower, Shade net, Organic foliar sprays. Top |
