Abstract

Direct and Indirect effect or eight metric traits viz. days to 50 percent Dowering, days to maturity, plant hlght, number or primary branches, lenght or main raceme, number or seeds per siliqua, 1000-Feed weight and harvest index on on content were studied among 25 diverse strains or Indian mustard (Brasslca juncea (L) Czem & Coss). The days to 50 per cent Dowering number or primary branches, seeds per siliqua, length or main receme and 1000-seeds weight had direct positive effects, There was negative direct effects is a days to maturity, plant height and harvest Index on oil content and positive direct effects is rest or the characters.
