Online Published on 19 April, 2024. Abstract The estimation of crop loss due to Tetranychus urticae was studied on brinjal (PBHR-42) during 2020-21. In the propargite 57 EC acaricide treated plots, the avoidable crop loss and cost benefit ratio was found to be 19.07 and 20.09 per cent and 52.34: 1 and 23.34: 1 in July and February transplanted crop, respectively. The mean of total yield in acaricide treated plots was calculated to be 200.67 and 86.93 q/ acre compared to 162.40 and 69.46 q/acres in untreated plots in July and February transplanted crop, respectively.
