Abstract This research paper emphasizes the significant importance of computer education today. It highlights the multifaceted benefits of computer education, such as improving research skills, broadening job opportunities, fostering technological progress, enhancing personal efficiency, improving educational environments, facilitating communication, and connecting individuals to the digital world. The study's focus is on assessing the computer literacy of undergraduate students in the Jammu district through a survey. The primary objectives of the survey were to gauge participants' computer skills across various dimensions, including basic computer operations, software proficiency, internet usage, and familiarity with communication tools. The questionnaire employed in the survey aimed to collect data on participants' knowledge of various computer applications, their capacity to perform specific tasks using computers, and their overall confidence in utilizing technology. Overall, the research underscores the critical role of computer education in enabling individuals to thrive in a technology-driven society and seize the opportunities offered by computers.
