Sex determination of human hip bones form genoves sciatic notch index Sharma G. K., Lal M. Deptt. of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, L.H.M.C. and Smt. H. M. Hospital, New Delhi. Abstract In the present study, it was endeavoured to establish sex form human hip bones by Oenoves Sciatic Notch Index. Sexual differentiation with an accuracy of 99.75% was achieved utilising “Demarking Point” method. Two hundred adult human hip bones (120 males, 80 females) of known sex were examined. Results were highly encouraging as more than 75% of male bones could be reliably identified. Study also revealed highly significant ‘t’ and ‘p’ values.
