Aims and Scope

It is a well known fact that India has the largest animal population in the world. These animals are a source of livelihood to millions of farmers. The health and well-being of the domesticated animals have direct impact on the economic status of the farmers.

The Animal Health services are offered by the Veterinarians working in Veterinary Hospitals, Polyclinics, Dispensaries, AI Centres and Mobile Clinics mainly located in rural and remote areas with limited access to the latest developments in Veterinary therapeutics and diagnosis. At the same time, the Scientists, Academicians associated with research institutes and colleges as well some Field Vets who are fast catching up with the global trends. There is a vast knowledge and technical expertise available which if channelized to the practicing Veterinarians can bring a sea change in the services offered and in turn will help to raise the economic status of farming community.

Intas Polivet was introduced in the year 1998 with an aim to bridge the knowledge gap and to facilitate the exchange of latest technical information and developments between the academicians, researchers, clinicians and field practitioners. Intas Polivet is an endeavour to disseminate the knowledge and information to Veterinarians present even in the remotest parts of the country.
