ABSTRACT

This paper focus on the issue of disguised unemployment and shows the relevance of Dairy farming business is raising the income of the farmer while utilising surplus workforce. For the purpose, concerned literatures are reviewed and secondary data are studied regarding farm households, average farm production, farm size and milk production. Using Chi-square test we find that milk production in the region has tremendous potential to raise the income of the farmers while generating additional employment. Further it has been observed that the specified region suffers from the lack of proper processing and marketing channel. The need of the hour is to get Dairy farming business organised and to carry out work in a comprehensive manner as suggested in the paper.
