The Aluminium-Silicon Dioxide Metal matrix Composites were fabricated using Stir casting. The tests for mechanical properties of metal matrix composites like Tensile strength and Hardness were carried out. In the presence of Silicon di-oxide (0–10%) with Aluminum matrix, it was evident that the densities of the composites were decreased and the hardness was increased. Correspondingly, a decrease in tensile strength also had been observed with decrease in reinforcement in the Metal Matrix. The SEM analysis was carried out for studying the Material Morphology.
