Online Published on 18 March, 2024. Abstract The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the library website as an e-learning platform in the selected universities of Assam. The primary objectives of the study included evaluating the current status of e-learning in Assam's universities, gauging the level of user satisfaction, and identifying barriers and obstacles that hinder the adoption of e-learning. The research employed a survey method, distributing a total of 135 structured questionnaires through stratified random sampling to three selected libraries (n=3). Out of the distributed questionnaires, 130 nos. completed were collected resulting in a response rate of 96.29%. The collected data revealed that library websites serve as the primary source of online learning materials across all three universities of Assam. However, variations were observed in the levels of user satisfaction among the surveyed universities.
