Online Published on 22 June, 2023. Abstract It is assumed that personality characteristics and job satisfaction are correlated. In view of the above, the present study was conducted to see whether there is a relationship between job satisfaction and personality traits as measured with Big Five Factors Inventory. This study was done on 100 private and government school teachers in India. The Big Five Inventory and Job Satisfaction Scale were used to collect data. The results revealed that there is no significant relationship between the five factors of personality and job satisfaction. Results are discussed in the light of the findings of the present study and also the previous studies conducted in this area.
