Agri entrepreneurship & rural enterprises development through agriculture skill development training programme

Abstract

Agriculture Skill Council of India works towards capacity building by bridging gaps and upgrading skills of rural youth, wage workers, self-employed & extension workers engaged in organized/ unorganized segments of agriculture and allied sectors. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tonk has conducted 6 skill development training programme for rural youths on agriculture and allied sector under Agriculture Skill Council of India to start Agri entrepreneurship & rural enterprises through agriculture and allied sector in the rural areas for income and employment generation. Study was conducted to analyze the impact of skill development training programme conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tonk. Study revealed that 75.00 per cent of the participants were unemployed, 69.16 per cent participants fulfilled very high expectations from the skill development training programme, 78.33 per cent of the participants opinioned that establishment of different units components helpful in future, 85.00 per cent of the participants has gained very much confidence to start agri entrepreneurship & rural enterprises, 75.83 per cent of the participants liked establishment of different enterprises topic covered during the skill development training programme, 65.00 per cent of the participants opined that give emphasis for individual project preparation, 89.16 per cent participants has established different units and 81.66 per cent has started their own enterprises after completion of skill development training progrtamme conducted by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tonk under Agriculture Skill Council of India from 2018 to 2022.
