Online published on 30 March, 2022. Abstract The present study was carried out to investigate the possibility of using gibberellic acid GA3 (50, 100) mg L−1 and proline (25, 50) mg.L−1 applied exogenously as foliar spray which will have beneficial effects on some growth parameters of pea plant (Pisum sativum L.).The experiment was conducted during the growing season 2016 -2017 in pots at Department of Biology/College of Education for Pure Science -Ibn-AL Haitham/Baghdad University. The experiment was laid out in a completely Randomized Design (C.R.D.) with three replicates. The main parameters were (plant height, nitrogen, phosphorus, calcium and proline concentration of plant shoot, nitrogen, phosphorus and calcium content of plant seeds, yield components: seeds number per pod, seeds weight per pod, 100 seeds weight and harvest index.Looking at the results, it was noticed that, growth parameters studied showed increment with foliar spray with both gibberellic acid and proline, and may be concluded that foliar application of GA3 at 100 mg. L−1 and proline at 25 mg.L−1 can be recommended to pea plant obtaining better growth and yield. Top Keywords Gibberellic acid, Proline, Nutrient status, Pea plant. Top |
