Impact of Covid-19 on the services of Anganwadi Centers, operated under the integrated child development services scheme : A study

Abstract

Covid-19 has adversely affected the entire world and while several core people have been affected by Covid, lakhs of people have lost their lives. Many people lost their jobs and businesses and many more people were mired in poverty. Various services are provided to children, adolescents, pregnant and lactating mothers in the age group of 0 to 6 years through the Anganwadi centers operated under the Integrated Child Development Services Scheme for child development and eradication of malnutrition. In the present research paper, conclusions have been presented after studying the impact of Covid-19 on supplementary nutrition, vaccination, health check-up, referral services, nutrition and health education, informal pre-school education services in Anganwadi Centers.
