Abstract The present paper is an attempt to highlight the availability of information resources in both printed and electronic mediums based on literature reviews of studies conducted by various scholars. Information Need (IN) and Information Seeking Behaviour (ISB) have changed over the years with the generation of the latest and updated information. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) era has changed the status of libraries in the 21st century compelling professionals to improve services by providing much-needed information via the latest medium. This paper further attempts to recommend the provision of seamless service of information flow to the users as and when required. It was concluded that the implementation of new technologies leads to the satisfaction of user needs and also helps them to gather information for personal use, knowledge updating, and development. Depending on the uninterrupted power supply, it would definitely ensure the smooth flow of information from the generator, provider, and consumer of information.
