Abstract

Roy & Rao (1984) studied the programme impact on fertility by a method known as Standardization technique using the methods introduced by Rutherford and Cho (1973), Rutherford and Ogawa (1978), Das Gupta (1978), classifying the total change in fertility into components as non-programme effect, programme effect and interaction effect. In this paper an attempt has been made to study the impact of migration to population growth by classifying the total change in population growth into components as non-migration effect, migration-effect and inter-action effect. The impact has been analyzed giving the example with the population of Manipur by considering migrants, non-migrants etc.
