Online published on 7 July, 2022. Abstract Noise is an underestimated threat that can cause a number of short-term and long-term health problems. Sound, when becomes noise, is among the significant environmental factors for people's health and it has an important role in both physical and psychological injuries. There was interaction with the people living in residential areas and workings in different areas and suggestions were enlisted to find out the ways to tackle the problem of noise pollution. Monitoring of noise level was done at the 11 sites under study. Levels of noise had exceeded the acceptable limits as laid down by Central Pollution Control Board.
