Abstract Floristic survey was undertaken in and around Rourkela city. During the survey,One hundred one angiospermic species were collected from different locality with their local names and uses. The species were arranged according their uses, there after these are arranged alphabetically with their habit,family name and parts used. The species were dried and deposited as herbarium specimen in P.G. Department of Botany Govt. College Rourkela. The conservation strategies are also suggested.
