Abstract Introduction A Caesarean section is a surgical procedure in which one or more incisions are made through mother's abdomen and uterus to deliver one or more babies, or, rarely, to remove a dead fetus when a vaginal delivery would put the baby's or mother's life or health at risk. Pain is unpleasant condition experienced during the postoperative period, which has been experienced by most women. Effective relief of pain can cause comfort, life quality improvement, and faster return to everyday life, shorter hospital stays and lower costs additionally, pain can impair the mother's ability to optimally care and breast-feed their infant in the postpartum period. Aim The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of foot and hand massage on level of pain among post caesarean mothers of G.G.S. Medical Hospital, Faridkot, and Punjab. Material and Methods A quantitative survey approach was used for descriptive design with convenient sampling technique to select 70 post caesarean mothers in G.G.S. Hospital; Faridkot. Out of which 35 assigned to Experimental group and 35 to control group. Results This study result depicts that Mean pain Score before intervention & post intervention in experimental group (morning) was 5.0041.590,&4.23±1.629 respectively. Paired t test was calculated (t=8.8, p>=0.00) that was statistically significant at p value 0.05. The Mean pain score before intervention & post intervention in experimental group (evening) was 4.54±1.462,&2.06±.906 respectively. Paired t test was calculated (t= 7.6, p=0.00) that was statistically significant at p value 0.05. Conclusions There is significant difference in Level of pain experimental group with massage theraphy. This reduction in the pain results in judicious use of analgesics this intervention as itis one of easiest non-pharamacological method in managing pain with massage.
