Abstract The study was conducted to find out Knowledge and Practices on Hepatitis B Virus Infection among Nursing Personnel and to find out the Relationship with selected factors in a selected Hospital of Rajasthan. Descriptive correlation survey approach and multistage sampling technique was used. The sample comprised 50 Nurse Grade II employees of S.M.S. Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Knowledge questionnaire and observation checklist were used as tool. Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. A majority of nursing personnel were between 21–40 years of age (74%), male (78%), having college level education (60%), G.N.M (76%), had professional experience 0–15 years (70%), did not attend in service education (82%) and only 62% had received the full course of vaccination against Hepatitis infection. The Knowledge and the Practice scores of nursing personnel were inadequate. There was no significant relationship of Knowledge with the Practice of the nursing personnel. There was a significant relationship of Knowledge Scores with academic qualification at 0.05 level of significance. There was no significant relationship of Knowledge Scores with age, sex, professional qualification, experience, in-service education, immunization and full course of vaccination. There was a significant relationship between Practice Scores and Professional experience.
