Effect of salinity stress on seed germination and seedling growth of wheat Singh Akhilesh Kumar, Prakash Vijay, Sastry E.V.D. Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics S.K.N. Coliege of Agriculture (RAU), Jobner-303328, India Abstract Seed of 20 wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) genotypes were subjected to salinity stress during gennination and seeding growth along with control. The germination percentage and seeding growth declined under salinity stress. The genotype Raj-3077 and Kharchia-65 were most tolerant to salinity with respect to seed gennination and seeding vigour. while Raj-4530 and Raj-3934 were the most suspectible genotypes under salinity.
