Abstract

The experiment was carried out in Rabi 2020-2021 at the Horticulture complex, Maharajpur, Department of Horticulture. Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The 11 genotypes of cabbage were screened against aphids and tobacco caterpillars. The average abundant population of aphids on all genotypes of cabbage observed ranged from 51.88 to 59.54 aphids /plant. The lowest number of aphids was recorded on genotype 2019/CABVAR/4 whereas a significantly higher number of aphids were recorded on genotype 2019/CABVAR/2. However, the remaining entries occupied the intermediate position. The average tobacco caterpillar populations were observed from (1.96 to 2.31 per plant). The minimum number of tobacco caterpillars was recorded on genotype of 2018/CABVAR/1 (1.96 per plant) and at par with 2019/CABVAR/3, 2019/CABVAR/1, 2018/CABVAR/7, 2019/CABVAR/2, 2018/CABVAR/1. The maximum number of caterpillars were recorded on 2018/CABVAR/3 (2.31 per plant).
