Online Published on 17 May, 2023. Abstract The field experiment was carried out at Research Farm, Agricultural Research Station, Mandor-Jodhpur during Rabi 2021-22 to evaluate the bio-efficacy of insecticides against aphid, Aphis gossypii in cumin. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with ten treatments including untreated control and each treatment replicated thrice. After two sprays, flonicamid 50 WG (0.07 aphids/umbel) was found most effective against aphid, A. gossypii followed by sulfoxaflor 22.9 EC (0.40 aphids/umbel) and cyantraniliprole 10.26 OD (0.67 aphids/umbel). Azadirachtin 10,000 ppm (3.27 aphids/umbel) was found least effective against aphid, A. gossypii in cumin. Tested insecticides had no adverse effect on activity of coccinellids. The maximum net return and benefit cost ratio were obtained in the plots treated with flonicamid 50 WG (Rs. 23,230 per ha and 1.52:1, respectively) followed by sulfoxaflor 22.9 EC (Rs. 15,450 per ha and 1.34:1) against aphid, A. gossypii in cumin.
