Abstract

Field experiments were conducted in Rabi season during 2021-22 at the Organic Agricultural Research farm Narayan Bagh, Department of Entomology, Institute of Agricultural Science, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (U.P.). To study the seasonal incidence of different insect pests on cauliflower and management of aphid (Brevicoryne brassicae L.) (Hemiptera: Aphididae). Among all the eight treatments were studied, as result 1st spray revealed that Spinosad has recorded highest reduction of the aphid mean population. Uncontrolled (40.6), Bacillus thuringiensis 5% (36.00) Karanj oil 5% (30.80), Castor oil 5% (30.60), Beauveria bassiana 5% (30.06), Panchagavya 5% (30.00), NSKE 5% (29.46), Garlic Extract 5% (29.46), Neem oil (Azadirachta indica) 5% (28.86), was the least effective among all the treatment. The data on the population reduction of cauliflower aphids in the 2nd Spray revealed that among all the treatment studied Spinosad has recorded highest reduction of aphid mean population, untreated plot (41.33), Bacillus thuringiensis 5% (31.33), Panchagavya 5% (21.60), Beauveria bassiana 5% (21.00), Garlic Extract 5% (20.95), Castor oil 5% (20.40), Karanj oil 5% (20.26), NSKE 5% (19.26), Neem oil 5% (19.00), was the least effective among all the treatment. The data on the population reduction of cauliflower aphids in the 3rd Spray revealed that among all the treatment studied Spinosad has recorded highest reduction of aphid mean population, untreated plot (34.93), Bacillus thuringiensis 5% (26.33), Panchagavya 5% (12.53), Garlic Extract 5% (10.80), Beauveria bassiana 5% (9.33), Karanj oil 5% (9.00), Castor oil 5% (8.40), NSKE 5% (7.26), Neem oil 5% (6.40), was the effective among all the treatment studied.
