Abstract The paper addresses one of the most salient and ironically least attended to issue of mental health of the youth today. In the light of empirical work done in Counselling, the state of art is discussed. The encouraging therapeutic results in counselling present the positive picture of the youth, reiterating the need for improving the mental health of the youth at large.
