Abstract Present paper attempts to provide a comparative analysis on traditional political system of Tibetans with that of the political system of the Tibetan Diaspora community in India. Study applies qualitative research methods and fieldwork tradition of anthropology in order to examine and understand the existing political system of Tibetans after their exile to India in the year 1959. Study is based on primary sources of data gathered through anthropological fieldwork conducted in May 2019 to July 2019 and November 2021 to March 2022. The study also uses secondary sources of data. Paper on one side explains the structure of Tibetan Governmentin-Exile at McLeodGanj in Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh, India) focusing on its various organs of judiciary, legislation and executive, on the other, it also briefly deals with various attempts the Tibetan Diaspora is endeavouring to reinstate it to their native country of Tibet.
