Abstract This research was conducted with purpose of studying the relationship between socio-economic status of students and their perception of investment in Post-Secondary Education. Statistical population included students in Post-Secondary Education at State Universities in Tehran in 2011–2012. Sample population was 379 students of Amir Kabir University, Tarbiat Moallem University, Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran University, Sharif University and Allameh Tabatabaee University, selected by using cluster random sampling. A researchers’ designed questionnaire was used to collect data about perception of students and their socio-economic status. Data was analyzed by use of central tendency measures and Regression through SPSS software. Findings are as follows: There is a significant relationship between socio-economic status of students and two variables: 1) perception of the appropriateness of fees, 2) perception of the appropriateness of supportive policies. There is not a significant relationship between socio-economic status of students and three variables: 1) perception of the future cash incomes, 2) perception of the future non-monetary incomes, 3) tendency of take-up of loans. About main Hypothesis, there is a significant relationship between socio-economic status of students and their perception of investment in Post-Secondary Education.
