Abstract The present paper is an attempt to identify a growing body of literature that explored effectiveness of biofeedback technique for a wide range of health problems including Psychological, Psychiatric, and Medical disorders. Information is provided about the availability of treatments, supervision, and certification in this exciting and interdisciplinary field. Biofeedback is a complimentary alternative medicine (CAM) approach that has important implications for holistic psychological and medical practice. Biofeedback is an exciting and interdisciplinary field with many dimensions, integrating technology, psychology, medicine, human potential, biology, and much more. Thus biofeedback therapy can be used to treat different conditions. Clinicians through biofeedback therapy reduce the patients' general level of arousal. It has several advantages including its relative low cost and provision of constant, objectivity and quantifiable feedback, which is easily understood. Biofeedback can also be used as an applied psycho-physiological therapy to be considering as a form of practice in physical disorders. It is attempted to trace studies of biofeedback as applied in different clinical contexts.
