A study of critical thinking ability and achievement in science among secondary school students Joshi Prashanth1, Research Scholar, Sheela G.2, Dr. 1Department of Studies in EducationUniversity of MysoreManasagangothri 2Department of Studies in Education, University of MysoreManasagangothri Abstract The present study was conducted to examine the Critical thinking ability and Achievement in science among secondary school students. Descriptive Survey method was adopted for the study. The data was collected using Critical thinking ability test and Achievement test in science constructed by the Researcher. Pearson Product moment correlation and t-test were the statistical techniques used for analysis of the data. The findings of the study highlights that there is a significant difference in male and female secondary school students in critical thinking ability and achievement in science. The findings show that the female students possess higher critical thinking ability than the male students and the male students exhibit greater achievement in science than the female students. There is positive relationship between critical thinking ability and achievement in science among secondary school students.
