Abstract Women are important unit of our society. The development of women that indicates the development of the society. The Kudumbashree is the hope and excitement of economic and social changes in Kerala. It’s the highest priority movement of Government of Kerala. Poverty is one of the main issues faced by our nation. Poverty drop is not only a matter of an overall financial growth in a society, but also that is interrelated with several social facets like women empowerment. All these things led to government to form female community intended poverty reduction project in the state and resulted in the birth of “Kudumbashree”. It became a significant role in the development history of Kerala creating new success model of women empowerment and socio-economic change. Such success model have brought Kudumbashree to international fame. There is an enormous labor campaign aimed at improving the income of families below the poverty line. Now, Kudumbashree has to become one of the major women movements in Asia. The study followed the focus group discussion to collect the primary data among the Kudumbashree members who are actively participating the Kudumbashree mission in Kerala. The goal of this study to development of women in Kerala through the influence and activities of Kudumbashree mission.
