Environmental Attitude and Awareness among Senior Secondary Students in Relation to Certain Demographic Variables

Abstract

The present study was conducted on 200 Senior Secondary School Students in different schools of district Sonepat, Haryana to study their environmental attitude and awareness in relation to certain demographic variables. The main findings of the study weret a) there exists a positive relationship between the two variables i.e. Environmental Awareness and Environmental Attitude. b) there is significant difference in the Environmental Awareness of Male and Female Senior Secondary School Students. Female senior secondary students are having more environmental awareness than the male senior secondary students. c) there is no significant difference in the Environmental Awareness of Senior Secondary Students of Public Schools and Government. Schools. Government senior secondary students are having more environmental awareness than Public senior secondary students. d) there is significant difference in the Environmental Awareness of Senior Secondary School Students of Science group and Humanities group. Senior secondary students of Science Group are having more environmental awareness than Humanities Group.
