Abstract Farmers’ associations concept is one of the options available for the farmers to get organized themselves to move up in the value-chain and have business ownership. The farmers organized themselves and started associations for their own effort to fulfil their needs and wants like mitigate the production and marketing problems, remove the intermediaries, reduce transportation costs, increase productivity by sharing technologies and information. Factor analysis was used to identify the perception of growers towards the vegetables growers association. Varimax rotation was applied for the 27 variables. The factor loadings of the 27 variables were then observed and were grouped in to eight factors. In the first iteration a total of eight components were extracted which explained 74.40 per cent of the total variance. From the results, produce sold at association's price and association helped improve profit are some of the factors influencing the perception level of the farmers towards vegetable growers association.
