Abstract A field experiment was carried out on influence of varying levels of FYM and NPK fertilization on growth and essential oil yield of lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus) as in Kharif season during the years 2010–11 at College of Agriculture, Latur. The experiment was laid in factorial randomized block design with three replications consisting of three levels of FYM (0, 5, 10 t FYM ha−1) and four doses of NPK (0, 60: 30: 30, 90: 45: 45, 120: 60: 60 kg ha−1). The results of field study indicated that the growth attributes namely plant height, number of tillers and number of leaves clump−1 influenced with FYM and NPK doses. Application of 10 t FYM ha−1 and NPK (120: 60: 60 Kg ha−1) was significantly improved all growth parameters at all the days intervals compared with control.
